A little bit about me...

I can't tell you about me, without telling you about them; the amazing family from which I come, the one I've been blessed in helping create, and the one that has taken form along the way. I want to tell you every detail about each one of them, immediate, extended, and the special friends I call family, but it would take forever, and my words just wouldn't cut it anyway. So here's the wind up: They are the best parts of who I am, and without them, I wouldn't be able to do what I do. I am truly grateful.

I must've been about six, when I was introduced to Meditation. I can clearly remember my body feeling so completely at rest while I was listening to the Guided Meditation. It felt strange, but so good to be that relaxed, yet so alert in other ways. Immediately after, everything seemed to have changed, and for the better; colors were more vibrant, I was more energized, and more peaceful and happy than I'd ever been. It was as if I wasn't even touching the ground, and I somehow felt more in touch with God, with myself, with everything and everyone. Maybe that's why I feel like I've never met a stranger. It was like I was actual peace and joy. I felt elevated in every way. I mean, every way. Whatever I focused on was better than before...So I kept meditating every day. I call it "going in", because that's what Meditation feels like to me. Although I've come to know, that I really don't "go" anywhere. At first, I listened to Guided Meditations, and eventually I guided myself. That profound experience, in addition to the countless personal benefits of my lifelong practice, and my deep desire to learn, share, and help others have all contributed to shaping my life's work.

After earning a BA in Psychology at Seton Hall University (1995), I eventually found my way to Integrative and Complementary Medicine. Certifications in Healing Touch and Therapeutic Touch came first (1999). I've got to tell you, for as long as I can remember, I have been doing energy work silently, from the "in"side. So you can imagine my relief in discovering that energy-based modalities had a legitimate existence in Complementary Medicine. Next came Certifications in Clinical Hypnotherapy (2001) and Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy (2002), which felt like the perfect fit for me, as Hypnotherapy strongly aligns with Guided Meditation.

Professionally, I began seeing Hypnotherapy clients and instructing group Guided Meditation classes, around that time, while Energy Work has been a mainstay since completing my coursework. Next, I became a BioAcoustics Research Associate (2004); working as the Director of the Wellness Division in a Sound Therapy Center (2004-2006), conducting BioAcoustics assessments to support client health and well-being, and contributing to Sound Health Inc. research. The Inner Voice was established in (2007), and I later recorded and released a Guided Meditation entitled, “Waves of Relaxation” (2008). I was the Complementary Medicine Coordinator in an Internal Medicine practice (2010-2017), where I facilitated the integration of Complementary Medicine interventions for patients and assisted the lead physician in creating and coordinating patients' personalized treatment plans. There, I was trained in HeartMath (2015) and have been incorporating those impactful techniques into my practice ever since.

I've had the honor of leading many Meditation Groups over the years, and I hope to always continue them. I feel the need to single one out. It's my Grief Support Guided Meditation Group, which began in (2016). For the last nine years, I've had the great privilege of facilitating this monthly group. I mention it here, not only because the work and the people are so meaningful to me, but because I have learned and grown the most through exploring, understanding, living and helping others in grief. In my profound personal experiences with grief and through this very special group, I have been transformed and refined. As a life-long learner, I look ahead with excitement, to infusing more of what I learn and experience into my life and work.

Although some of my education and experience have been quite clinical, I work in a way that is Spirit-Guided, lighthearted, compassionate, and direct, with emphasis on the importance of engaging and accessing, not only the intelligence of your mind and body, but especially all that comes from your heart and soul. This work is sacred to me; more of God's work than my own, but what isn't? It is more of a calling than a profession, but I assure you, I am dedicated to delivering high quality evidence-based, ethical, professional, and effective care, every time. I am passionate about connection and service, and the astounding results motivate me to continue sharing all I do...because it works!
